Bio:  There's a lot more that could be said about me, but that's not what this site is about so if you
want to know more about me personally you'll have to go a different route.  This bio is all about racing, and
I have to admit up front that my entrance into the world of sports car racing was an evolution.  When I was
13 my parents bought me a racing four-wheeler and, after teaching myself to upgrade and tune motors
measured in cubic centimeters as opposed to liters, I spent a fair amount of time screaming down a dirt
track at 70-80 MPH towards five to twenty foot tall jumps.  For my 18th birthday I was given a 1993
Chevy Camaro Z28 special edition and after an intake and superchip my top speed on the four-wheeler
seemed a bit slow and got lost in history.  At that time in my life the only kind of racing I knew about was
ego tripping against another car on the highway - I was missing out on real racing and didn't even know it
until the new millennium.  After the Camaro I was thinking about decking out a Chevy S-10 for show and a
bit of racing...at least until I drove Shawn's 1985 300ZX-R, "Marie".  Yup, that did it for me.  After about a month of searching the country by Internet and
telephone in the summer of 2001, Shawn and I  loaded up Marie for an 1100 mile trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to buy a 1988 Nissan 300ZX-R SS - one
of the most limited production Nissan cars ever to roll out.  The rest was an evolution even more memorable than my entry into the sports car racing.  It
seems like only a few months ago that Shawn and swapped out Amanda's suspension in a parking lot or were in my parents' barn on a damnably cold
winters day replacing Marie's drivetrain.  It might have been a month ago that we drove to Florida to buy "Samantha only to return in time for Shawn and
elim to fly to California to brink home "Kimiko".  Maybe it was last week that we started Team Squid Racing with a trio of turbo-charged 300ZX's.  It might
have been yesterday when Kyle showed up at our garage with "Carissa" and an aftermarket intake he needed help installing.  Then again, those could all be
memories along a four year long journey of friendship, team work, late nights in the garage and adrenaline-filled evenings at the race track.  Today, well, it's
rather difficult to describe just how cool it feels to have been a part of a grassroots racing team like this one.  You can bet your car's title, however, that I
wouldn't trade it for anything this world has to offer.
