| Bio:
Ever since I found the Little Red Wagon in my grandmother's garage, I have
been fascinated with |
 |
| anything that can carry my butt faster than I can run.
I took the wagon out of the garage and immediately |
| rode it down the slope of her driveway and into the street.
The exhilaration of uncontrolled speed and |
| almost getting squashed by two surprised drivers made me
realize the value of wheeled transportation. |
| Fast
forward through several bicycles, and yes, even roller blades to sixteen
years old. My first car |
| was an embarrassing piece of crap. It was an '87
Chevrolet Cavalier. It was considerably faster (top |
| speed: 70mph) than the wagon but it had the same
scared-as-hell-am-I-going-to-crash handling. That little |
| POS taught me the importance of balance in a vehicle. |
| Almost five year
ago, I managed to find a '93 Eclipse non-turbo GS that the seller said
"might need |
| some engine work." If he only knew. Two years, 1 JDM 2.0, 3 turbos, and way to many nights spent |
| cursing the differences in wiring harnesses later, "Carissa"
was pushing 400 Hp and out-performing |
| German-built 2-doors. When a Kenworth diesel
catastrophically changed the balance of my car by |
| removing the rear-most section, I decided to
find something with more performance potential and somewhat more durable. |
|
Completely by chance, I stumbled onto an '89 Supra turbo hardtop. It's
not an easy road starting over on one car after becoming so attached to |
| another. At the same time, it's not as
hard of a transition when the new one is an original Japanese super car and
was once chosen by the "Dori Kin." |
| Though I don't plan on liquefying any tires on
any touges in the near future, I know "Liana" and I will enjoy her
500+ Hp and as many races as the gods will |
| allow. |
