Garden of Angel Toy Drive

Team Squid Racing decided to help out the Garden of Angels once again.  This time in helping collect toys for children who are victims of domestic violence.  Half of the toys collected went to the Forth Worth chapter of B.A.C.A. (Bickers Against Child Abuse) and the other half was taken to by members of the Garden to local women's shelters.  The toys were presented at a ceremony at the Garden of Angels; a memorial site in memory of children killed as a result of family violence.  This truly is a wonderful cause and we are honored that we were asked to help out with this fund raiser.  Please check their site for up coming events and take part in it. 

This time we set out to top all of the drives we had done in the past.  To do this we set up shop outside of Sears at Valley View Mall the weekend before Thanksgiving.  First off we would like to extend a special thanks to Sears for allowing to do such.

We put our dignity aside and decided that there was not anything we wouldn't do in the name of toys.

               For some this meant begging.            

While others decided to dance for change.

When everything was said and done Team Squid brought three cars worth of stuff to the toy drive and collected over $600 worth of toys for the cause.

On the actual day of the event the sun was already going down by the time we got to the Garden and thus we do not have any pictures of the fully loaded trucks but believe me when I say it was a beautiful sight.  In addition to Sears we would also like to thank everyone who donated not only to our drive but anyone who made a donation this Holiday Season.
